BBBEE Business Woman workshop

The BBBEE unit in partnership with Business Woman's Association (BWSA) hosted a workshop targeting women in business. The workshop was arranged to outline the mandate and significance of the Broad-Based Black Empowerment (B-BBEE) Act 53 of 2003, and strategy in redressing past imbalances. The BBBEE strategy hopes to achieve a transformed economy in the entire country where wealth is shared equitably amongst its citizens.

The workshop was facilitated by Neema Isa who is a BWSA Coordinator in Tshwane. She was vibrant and gave the event the extra zeal. Candidates were briefed on the BBBEE strategy and how it applies to their business, the Department of finance gave a presentation on Procurement and opportunities available in the Province.
